A man who had accused Rewind Productions of stealing his idea for the show The Wedding Battle on PBS had blatantly lied, the company said in a judicial protest.

Rewind Productions claimed in its protest that it never had discussions or legal ties with David Charles Bajada as he was alleging.

It said it did not need third parties to come up with ideas for programmes. It was an established production house with enough experience and credentials to come up with its own ideas, it said.

Mr Bajada had also accused PBS of stealing the idea but in a counter-protest, PBS said that Mr Bajada’s idea for the show, called the The First Dance, was nothing like the one produced by Rewind Productions
