I had a letter published in The Times, entitled Mysterious Happenings (January 15), in which I had pointed out problems with the water supply in Mtarfa which had been going on for months. Unfortunately, not only did I fail to get any reply but it seems that the problem has become even worse.

The water supply in Mtarfa cuts out completely for hours and this used to happen once a week. Now this is happening more than once a week and for even longer hours. Just an example: Between February 27 and March 1 it happened twice, each time from the evening till late morning of the following day, leaving us unable to wash any plates and dishes or do the laundry.

If we pay our bills, especially with the new tariffs, I expect the service to be running smoothly.

I do accept a fault once in a while.

But to have the problem persist every week, without even an explanation from the people concerned, I consider as arrogance and unacceptable.
