Obscenities against No camp activist Moira Delia and in favour of hunting were scribbled on a wall in scenic Ramla Bay valley this morning.

Ms Delia is one of the spokespersons of the campaign against spring hunting ahead of the April 11 referendum.

In a comment to Times of Malta, Ms Delia said what had been done worried her, but would not stop her from expressing herself about what she truly believe in, without hurting anyone.

This, she said, was the latest of a number of personal attacks with the aim of intimidation.

"It's useless to attack and throw mud on individual campaign leaders; this is not a political election but a referendum, and people should vote according to the substance of the referendum question and not out of respect or obedience towards some campaign of, indeed, political leader."
