The Daily Star says Israeli leaders have reacted angrily to US Secretary of State John Kerry’s warning that if peace talks with the Palestinians fail, Israel could face growing international boycotts.

Ukraine's opposition has appealed for the first time for Western aid and mediation to end a deadly crisis and a protester whose account of torture has sparked international outrage flew out of the country for treatment. According to Kiev Post, Dmytro Bulatov left Ukraine just hours after a Kiev court authorised his departure despite a criminal case still hanging over him for helping to organise a wave of protests against President Viktor Yanukovych. 

Ansa reports Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways said Sunday it has entered the final stage of an assessment whether to purchase a stake in Italy's debt-laden airline Alitalia. 

El Pais says thousands of workers from Coca-Cola bottling factories in Spain have marched in Madrid and the eastern city of Alicante in protest at four of its bottling plants closures they say would cost 750 jobs and 500 others being offered relocation to other plants. 

Legendary Hollywood director Woody Allen has called Dylan Farrow's allegations of child molestation “untrue and disgraceful,” signalling that he would fight renewed claims dating back to Allen's tempestuous relationship with actress Mia Farrow in the early 1990s. CNN quotes an email by the movie director's publicist Leslee Dart saying that Allen had read Dylan Farrow's open-letter, published online Saturday by The New York Times, claiming she was sexually assaulted when she was seen by her then adoptive father.

Fox News reports the number of abortions performed in the United States has dropped to the lowest level in 40 years, pointing to more contraception use rather than increased restrictions on access to the procedure. In 2011, an estimated 16.9 abortions were carried out per 1,000 women aged between 15 and 44. It was lowest number since 1973, when the figure stood at 16.3 per 1,000, the Guttmacher Institute found.

Globalnews says Russia has welcomed the first teams to its southern resort of Sochi less than a week ahead of the start to the Olympic Games, as organisers worked all out to finish accommodation on time.
