On Sunday, timesofmalta.com carried a video which included a brief interview with the President of Malta, George Abela. The interviewer asked the President what he did before he went over to San Anton for the beginning of the race.

He answered that he went to Mass and he treated himself to breakfast, which included toast with honey and a lot of water.

The article published in the print edition of The Times (December 7) chose not to include the reference to the President going for Mass. Somehow the question came to my mind as to the reason for leaving out this detail given by the President himself. Why?

Editor's note
In the article, the President's breakfast was referred to in the context of the importance of raising awareness to health and fitness. There was no ulterior motive to leaving out his mention of Mass.
