Determined to reach a wider audience, President George Abela has decided that the Epiphany Concert should become the New Year's Concert and be held at Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, rather at than the Palace.

The concert, open to all free of charge, will be given by the National Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Michael Laus, on January 3 at 8.30 p.m. and will also feature ballet and wheelchair dancing.

The public is being encouraged to make donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Tickets can be obtained on a first-come-first-served basis from the Malta Community Chest Fund's office at the President's Palace, Valletta between 8.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on weekdays.

Tickets will also be available from the MCC, which opens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Today and on Boxing Day, the box offices will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
