President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca this morning kindled a symbolic peace flame as part of a campaign which originated in Bethlehem, symbolising peace, love and charity.
During the ceremony, organised by the President’s office together with the Baden Powell Scouts and the Peace Laboratory, the President spoke on the need to work for peace and love.
Peace, she said, could not be taken forgranted and a lack of peace was the result of prejudices towards people who looked different.
