The 2010/11 football season has just kicked off and England’s Barclays Premier League will once again bring to Maltese television the excitement of the league thanks to its partnership with Go.

Go has the exclusive rights of the Italian Serie A, starting on August 28.

Paul Molnar, head of international broadcasting and media operations of the Premier League, said: “The Premier League is excited to have a new partner in Go in Malta. The league enjoys an excellent relationship with Go and is confident that fans in Malta will enjoy the best possible coverage.”

Mr Molnar added: “The Premier League reaffirms that Go is the only TV broadcaster in Malta with exclusive live rights to the league, which kicked off yesterday, August 14, for the next three seasons ending May 2013.”

He praised Go for its strong commitment to the Premier League and noted the company’s recent announcements related to the investment in the TV network, state-of-the-art headend and playout facilities.

Talking about the next season, Mr Molnar said: “We remain committed to putting on the best possible show, in top stadiums with full attendance and the best playing talent on the pitch. This will ensure that Go gets full value from the rights offering and its subscribers enjoy the same quality of football from the Barclays Premier League as they have enjoyed in recent seasons.”

Go’s chief executive officer David Kay said Go is totally committed to give its Go sports customers the best level of service, viewing experience and customer care.

“We look forward to the start of the season. Last weekend, we gave TV customers a flavour of what Go sports is all about – with a full weekend of free viewing, including the Community Shield match between Chelsea and Manchester United. Until May, Go sports customers will enjoy every minute of action of the best international sports live and exclusive,” Mr Kay said.

Later on in the season, Go sports customers can also enjoy the English FA cup action. In addition, the Go sports line-up includes the recently-acquired content of Juventus Channel, Inter Channel and Roma Channel.

Milan Channel will be available soon. Customers can also watch the club channels of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea together with a host of other sporting content, including F1 racing, tennis, rugby, golf, horseracing, boxing and more.
