There is little to add to what Lino Farrugia wrote in his letter The Spring Hunting Orchestra (February 14), as in my opinion he has expressed the views of the majority of the Maltese shooting fraternity.

It is an outright shame that a few individuals masquerading as bird lovers and protectors of the environment are given all this publicity.

What these Disney-fied bunny huggers cannot understand is that city dwellers, such as they presumably are, cannot appreciate country life with its traditions and their comments and actions only stem from prejudice.

It would be far better for this "elite" group to use their precious time and efforts in order to address the more serious problems that concern human life.
