The House Public Affairs Committee has agreed to start hearing witnesses on the Auditor General's report on the Delimara power station extension on November 1 in a sitting that would start at 4.00 p.m. and end at 9.00 p.m. The hearings would continue on the morrow.

PAC Chairman Charles Mangion said that witnesses would be informed of the guidelines that would be adopted, including protection from matters that could incriminate them. Witnesses may be accompanied by their legal adviser.

The Attorney General will attend to clarify any legal points that might arise.
