The 16th successive season of competitions, organised by the Malta Pool Association (MPA), gets underway on September 27. As in previous years, there will be events for teams and individuals.

The association also plans to organise ranking tournaments at senior and U-18 levels besides the Christmas Cup and the Bar Owners' Cup. The season winds up with the Super Cup next June. The highlight, however, should be the Euro Championship in Malta between February 21 and 26.
