The people expected politicians to give priority to marriage and family at a time when marriage was losing its stability, the Kummissjoni Djocesana Gustizzja u Paci said in a memorandum about the general election.
It said that measures to help couples carry out their duties at work while respecting their matrimonial and family responsibilities were necessary.
These had to be accompanied by other measures that would permit each family to live a decent life and have sufficient means to provide the best assistance to all its members, especially in cases of illness.
The commission said that the election was not a race or a fight between parties or individuals even if, eventually, there would be a winner and a loser.
It was an opportunity for the people to express themselves and decide on which lines it wanted the country to be administered.
The competition between the parties should lead to each party making the best proposals, which one expected would be kept.
