The police early this morning traced and seized a van which yesterday crashed into and overturned another vehicle but drove on. Its driver is still being sought.

The incident happened at the junction of the Birkirkara By-Pass with Tumas Fenech Street in Birkirkara at about 5 p.m. The driver of the overturned vehicle was trapped and had to be pulled out by rescuers from the Civil Protection Department. He was rushed to hospital suffering serious injuries.

The van was found at Ta'Qali.
