The police should launch an investigation to find out who was the Labourite policeman who PL deputy leader Toni Abela had approached to make sure no action was taken over a fight at a PL club.

Speaking during a visit to a cheeselets farm in Attard, Dr Gonzi said he was worried about what was happening within the Labour Party.

He said that Dr Abela was not credible, he was not serious and he should be ashamed of himself.

The situation, he said, had come to a point where the Labour Party knew who were the Labour and Nationalist supporters in police stations.

He also referred to the second recording uncovered yesterday, which related to a case of alleged cocaine trafficking at a Labour PL club. Dr Abela, Dr Gonzi said, should reply to the question being asked and give all information about the case.

Dr Gonzi spoke about the party’s electoral proposals for the agriculture sector, which include assistance for certain enterprises to benefit for EU funds.
