Two men are expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow after the police seized some 22 kilograms of what they believe is cannabis resin yesterday evening.

The police said in a statement tonight the arrests followed weeks of investigations by the Drugs Squad.

Officers from the Drugs Squad and the Rapid Intervention Unit stopped a 37-year-old man as he was driving out of Delimara after they saw him collecting a package.

On searching his car, they found two large packets containing “brown blocks”.

Following further investigations, they also arrested a 31-year-old man.

An inquiry is being held.
