The police force was working in silence to provide the best service possible to the country, Police Commissioner Michael Cassar told a group of new recruits yesterday.
He said the force was undergoing the needed reforms.
“Lead by example in the work you’ll be doing and be close and loyal to all citizens. Performing your duty seriously and with integrity will result in more trust in the Police Force,” he told the recruits.
He was speaking on a cultural visit organised jointly with Heritage Malta in Vittoriosa.
He said knowledge of culture and history was a new training concept and would allow the new policemen and women to assist tourists.
