A police search for weapons in a Qormi home unearthed 70 grams of cocaine, it was revealed today.

The search was carried out in the residence of Marlon Apap 36 as part of investigations into a recent murder, although Mr Apap himself is not suspected of the murder.

He was charged in court today with being in possession of 70 grams of cocaine which were not for his exclusive use, committing the crime within 100 metres of a school or club, and also being in possession of  ammunition.

He was granted bail against a deposit of €3,000 and a personal guarantee of €7,000.
