The people expect Mepa to take the proper decision tomorrow when it considers the application for a permit for a property belonging to Equal Opportunities Minister Helena Dalli, the PN said this evening.

Mepa, it said, should not be used as a political tool and it should decide in the interests of the people.

Equal rights, the PN said, were not just titled but should be principles.

The application before Mepa is for the granting of  a permit to regularise infringements in a farmhouse owned by the minister and her husband in Zejtun.

Another sitting scheduled for early this month was not held because Mr Dalli was ill.
