The Nationalist Party will celebrate 135 years since its founding, as well as the 51st anniversary of Malta's Independence, with a programme of activities which starts on Thursday.

The party said the activities will be held at Valletta's entrance, Pjazza Teatru Rjal and de Valette Square, in a return to the site where Independence used to be celebrated in the 1970s.

The theme this year will be 'The Nationalist Party: 135 years service for Malta'.

The activities will include political discussions, entertainment, and a Mass meeting on Sunday evening.
