The Nationalist Party said today that the Broadcasting Authority had cast the country back 30 years when it decided that the political parties should decide who to send for PBS programmes, rather than let the producers issue their own invitations to the people of their choice.

The BA through its decision was also serving as a prop to the Labour Party, which wanted to interfere and dictate what others should do, it added

The PL's actions were in contrast with its claims of being European and modern and the PL could now continue to abuse by sending candidates, rather than MPs for discussion programmes, while then claiming that fewer Labour than Nationalist MPs were featured on national television, the PN added.
