Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi this evening addressed a live Web Conference held by the Nationalist Party through the www.mychoice.pn website, launched last April.
The PN said that hundreds of participants logged in and posted online questions addressed to the Prime Minister during the hour-long activity, the first of its kind. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange views on different issues raised during the web interactive debate.
Dr Gonzi answered questions on education, job creation, tourism, health and the new Oncology Department, the roads infrastructure, income tax reforms, Gozo, Air Malta, small and medium enterprises and the various schemes offered to businesses and the environment.
He emphasized the importance the middle class in society. The many other questions that were not addressed during the web conference will now form part of the My Choice project and be answered accordingly, the party said.
The PN said this was not a one off experience and it would be repeated and strengthened.
"The My Choice initiative has only been up and running for a couple of months, yet the response has been overwhelming and extremely positive. Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi reaffirms his commitment to keep on communicating with and listening to people's opinions and suggestions, insisting that it is through this dialogue that the policies and plans of the PN are shaped," the party said.
