A future Nationalist government will give every youth between the age of 18 and 21 a one-time grant to be used to visit any EU country of his choice.

Speaking on Net TV, the party's spokesman on culture, Karl Gouder, said a PN government would invest in the cultural infrastructure that over time will include a new national theatre, a museum for modern and contemporary art, an academy of fine arts and an architecture and design centre.

The National Library would be revamped and a new National Archives facility will be set up.

Mr Gouder said the Malta Film Fund will be raised to €2 million, inclusive of the Co-Production Fund and various schemes will be introduced to entice more film-shooting to Malta.

A future PN government would launch incentives to encourage artists to set up their own business and improve access to grants from Arts Council Malta.

A School of Performing Arts would be set up on lines similar to the Sports School.

The Superintendence of National Heritage would be strengthened in manpower and financial terms.
