The Nationalist Party today pounced on a remark by MEP Edward Scicluna, who told the Sunday Times that he had submitted his economic evaluation "and it was up to the Leader of the Opposition to digest, cut and paste".

The PN said political leadership was about substance – which Dr Muscat was lacking terribly.

"A true political leader, a serious political leader worth his salt, comes up with the right solutions when faced with challenging situations.

"No wonder that Labour is a policy-light party; no wonder that for the past four years Joseph Muscat was unable to come up with one sensible and concrete proposal - on how Malta can continue to navigate the very choppy waters, caused by the worst economic storm in living memory . You can't expect better from someone whose way of doing politics is 'digest, cut, and paste'", the PN said.
