The way the Nationalist and Labour parties were constantly trading in criticism on party financing and copying each other’s discourse and ideas resembled a theatre of the absurd, AD chairman Michael Briguglio said this morning.
He said in a statement that beyond the spin and empty rhetoric, the truth was that big business had disproportionate influence on both parties, and the electoral campaign had become a parody of itself.
“In parliament AD will table concrete proposals on party financing, based on our manifesto proposals,” he said.
