Energy efficiency measures and audits will be introduced in all the Nationalist Party's premises, PN general secretary Paul Borg Olivier said yesterday during a meeting with Climate Change Committee chairman David Spiteri Gingell.

The PN will be bringing together a number of focus groups in the coming days and working with its youth movement to draw up proposals to encourage energy saving measures, Dr Borg Olivier said.

Although the party firmly believes in the polluter pays principle and the use of alternative energy sources, it also believes in the "consumer saves principle" to decrease the carbon deficit, he said.
