The Nationalist Party has condemned yesterday's killing of a rare black stork in Buskett.

In a statement it said that while it appreciated hunters' statements of condemnation, it encouraged more surveillance by the forces of law and order as   well as others, including hunters, for such incidents to be avoided.

It said it was a shame that because of an electoral promise the government made, the autumn hunting times were extended, increasing pressures on the countries' limited resources.
