The Nationalist Party has asked the Auditor General to investigate the process and distribution of funds from a €1 million fund for local councils.

The party said the way the fund was administered raised a lot of doubts and was criticised by the National Association of Council Executive Secretaries and Local Councils Association President Marc Sant.
