Prime Minister Joseph Muscat visited Maltese company SMS International Shore Operations at the Miami port cruise liner terminal.

The company employs 600 people in Miami where it manages the passenger handling of a number of cruise liner companies, including Norwegian and MSC.

Dr Muscat, who was taken round the terminal by managing director Sam Mifsud, said this was another example of how Maltese companies were competing in Europe and beyond.

He was accompanied by the Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Growth, Edward Zammit Lewis.
