The Prime Minister, accompanied by Foreign Minister Tonio Borg and Nationalist MP Franco Debono, has left for New York, where he will address the General Assembly of the United Nations on Thursday.

In New York, Dr Gonzi will hold meetings with several leaders who will be in the City for the General Assembly. He will also attend the UN Leadership Forum on Climate Chance and inaugurate the EC New York English Language School, which is a Maltese investment.

The delegation later travels to San Francisco for meetings with the Maltese community and a visit to Maltese investments.

Dr Gonzi is expected back on Monday.
