Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi visited the offices of Malta International Airport this morning to thank the staff for their work during the Libya emergency. He also thanked workers in other sections and facilities within the airport.

MIA saw an upsurge of activity over the past two weeks as some 12,000 workers were evacuated from Libya and flown to their home countries from Malta.
