The Prime Minister should explain how a confidential cabinet document on the public transport reform had ended up in the possession of the Nationalist Party's general secretary, the Labour Party said.

In a statement, the PL said PN general secretary Paul Borg Olivier had claimed he had the Prime Minister's authorisation to have the document.

The PL said cabinet documents can only become public after 30 years so when Dr Borg Olivier showed this document on a television programme, he was blatantly breaching the regulations which regulated such documents.
