The Nationalist Party said this afternoon that whenever the Prime Minister felt uncomfortable addressing subjects of concern to the people, he replied with deafening silence.

This was the case in Parliament yesterday when the Prime Minister was absent from the LNG storage tanker debate in Parliament.

Although this subject was of concern to the people of the south and to those who earned their living from the Marsaxlokk port, he did not find time to address the people’s preoccupations in Parliament, the PN said.

It said the Prime Minister was treating the subject lightly and when asked for clear explanations remained silent.

The Prime Minister also failed to reply to the matter about the security clearance for the army top brass required required that they could have access to top secret documentation.

The minister ‘lied’ and when he was caught out, he tried to bend facts to confuse the people, the PN charged.

It added that this was unacceptable and the Prime Minister could not remain silent.
