The Plevna Hotel in Sliema, currently being redeveloped, will have 18 more rooms, after the board of Directors of Bortex Group Holdings Company Limited approved additional works.

The project involves a major overhaul of the former Hotel Plevna, to be rebranded as Hotel 1926.

This development will increase the hotel’s room capacity by a further 18 rooms as well as enhance and upgrade the layout of the original plans.

These additional works will be funded by bank finance, the owners said. As a consequence, the hotel’s opening date has now been moved to November 2018.
