Four Premier League players have been suspended for one match for not conducting medical tests as requested under new MFA rules which were enforced for the first time this month.

The tests are to be conducted by the clubs under an MFA scheme to make medical tests more affordable to clubs and players.

The players are Demba Toure (Valletta) Igor Coronado (Floriana) and Massimo Grima and Glenn Azzopardi (both Hamrun). They will remain suspended until the tests are carried out.

Five other players were suspended for various infringements. They are Rodolfo Soares (Hibs) Ryan Fenech (Valletta), Ryan Camenzuli (Birkirkara) Edison Zarate (Qormi) and Luigi Ruggeri (Sliema).
