I refer to the letter Bad Management At The Law Courts by Oliver Mallia (August 18).

I would be more than willing to supply Mr Mallia, who I believe had already contacted me last October following a letter which he had written then (assuming that he is the same author of the letter which appeared on August 18), with an objective reply should he be so kind as to provide the undersigned with details regarding the case he was involved in, the day he was supposed to appear in court and the name of the judge/magistrate presiding over the case. I would then be in a position to provide a reply based on facts.

The public is generally led to believe that shortcomings in the courts are invariably caused by mismanagement on the part of the courts administration.

This might not be the case since there are various players involved in a court case and without pointing any finger at other authorities, third parties, professional bodies or the parties involved in the case themselves, the courts administration must have hard facts before it can agree or not with such sweeping statements.
