The Labour Party said today that it will participate in next month's elections of administrative committees in hamlets in Malta and Gozo.

The PL said it had decided to take part in the elections so that it could be of service to society at all levels. However the party executive felt that the elections should be an expression of the will of the people and not simply an excuse for another election.

The party will therefore be meeting families individually but will not hold a national campaign.

The PN has already said it will contest the elections.
