The Labour Party has filed an application asking the court to issue a warrant to stop Transport Malta from removing its billboards from the roads.

The application was filed by party president Stefano Zrinzo Azzopardi and secretary Lydia Abela.

They said that the billboards had not been placed on roads, pavements or property belonging to Transport Malta, and their removal would constitute a violation of the party's fundamental right to transmit its message as enshrined in the Constitution and the European Convention.
