The Labour Party has patted itself on the back claiming it is the only political party represented in parliament to submit its financial returns on time in terms of the Party Financing Act.

The Nationalist Party and the Democratic Party both requested extensions in what was an example of how the two parties did not give sufficient importance to one of the most important laws on good governance, the PL said. 

PL CEO Randolph De Battista said that despite all the talk about transparency, the opposition parties were not able to lead by example. He said that for the second year, the PN showed it was not comfortable with this law.
