PKF Malta senior partner George Mangion recently travelled to Sofia, Bulgaria, where he attended the EMEI Tax meeting, organised by PKF International (PKFI).

Being a network of independent firms, PKFI is constantly on the lookout to organise various conferences and events for its members and non-members.

After Sofia, Mr Mangion attended a trade delegation to Poland organised by the Malta and Poland Chamber of Commerce. During this visit, the Malta and Poland Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen business ties in the interest of respective members. The mission included a well-attended, high-level Poland-Malta Business Forum, which was addressed by, among others, Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business Chris Cardona and Marcin Ociepa on behalf of Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology of Poland.

The Business Forum was later followed by a B2B meeting between the Maltese and Polish companies.

During these B2B meetings, Mr Mangion met with various blockchain and virtual currencies organisers. The next visit was to a business accelerator called the Heart. This organisation offers assistance to corporations and start-ups on how they can grow and innovate.

In the same week, PKF Poland celebrated its 25th anniversary. The company celebrated with various business partners and other PKF firms.

PKF Malta was invited to the anniversary, where it enjoyed a jubilee gala with a concert and dinner.
