A piece of rock from the zenith of Mount Everest is the highlight of a display at Bank of Valletta (BoV)'s head office in St Venera.

This display honours the Challenge 8000 team, the first Maltese to reach the summit of the world's highest mountain.

BoV CEO Tonio Depasquale congratulated climbers Marco Cremona and Gregory Attard on their feat during a meeting held at the bank's head office.

Mr Cremona and Mr Attard presented Mr Depasquale with a piece of rock from the peak of Mount Everest together with a Maltese and BoV flag, signed by the team members.

The full kit, the BoV flag and the rock are on display in the foyer of the bank's head office in St Venera.
