Four members of the Malta Institute of Professional Photography have just received distinctive international awards and qualifications.

With a panel of 12 images having architecture as the subject, Ramon Sammut became the first Maltese to obtain the Qualified European Photographer classification, the industry's highest accreditation.

Stephen Busuttil obtained the Qualified Italian Photographer qualification in the reportage section.

Both distinctions were awarded by the Federation of European Photographers.

Martin Abela won three bronze awards in the wedding, portrait and press and PR categories and Joe Smith earned two bronze in the portrait section at the Orvieto Fotografia, held in Italy annually.

The Malta Institute of Professional Photography works in collaboration with international industry professionals to provide Maltese talent with highly educational training and continuous inspiration to keep their profession at a high level of standard.
