One of London’s landmark buildings will be transformed when 100 photographic portraits are projected on to its walls.

Top fashion photographer Patric Shaw, who has worked with stars including Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz and Liv Tyler, is setting up a pop-up studio outside the National Theatre on London’s South Bank later this month.

He will take pictures of 100 people who will be given a copy of the portrait, then get the chance to see it on the theatre’s walls later.

Photographs will also be projected onto buildings in other cities including Warsaw, Paris and Singapore.

Mr Shaw was born on a British Army base in West Germany and has lived in Cyprus, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia where he started his photographic career at Vogue Australia.

The display is part of a wider project by insurance company Aviva in which landmark buildings will be wrapped in portraits of their staff.

Properties in Delhi and Mumbai will also be used as part of the project.

Members of the public will also be able to have their own pictures projected onto the buildings.
