Enemalta has announced a reduction of all fuel prices.

Petrol is down by one euro cent per litre and diesel and kerosene by two cents. Gasoil for heating is down by nine cents.

The corporation said the latest diesel consignment is based on May Platts average price, whereas the previous consignment was based on March Platts prices, which on average were 5.7% higher than the prices recorded in May. This mainly explains the 2 cents drop brought about in diesel prices.

With respect to petrol, the latest consignment is also based on May Platts average prices, whereas the previous consignment was based on April Platts prices, which on average were in line with the average levels recorded in May. The 1 cent reduction in petrol prices was largely brought about by lower security stock fees.

The €0.09 reduction in the price of Light heating Oil is mainly reflecting the new May consignment based on May Platts prices which were 11% lower than the previous consignment based on February Platts prices, Enemalta said.
