Character traits:

"Contrary to the image I may portray, I am a very cheerful person and am rarely in a bad mood. I do not live up to my 'rambo' image, and I go out of my way to help people."

Relationship with the student body:

"I think I have a very good relationship with students in general. Individual students are often at our office asking for information of all sorts and we enjoy helping them out. However, we work mostly with student organisations when they come to ask permission to organise events on campus, and for us to provide security on campus, and so forth."

What is your opinion of KSU? How have you seen it change over the years?

"I have seen a large number of KSU executives in my time as precincts officer. I am pleased to note that over the years, KSU and the University are collaborating more closely for the benefit of students and this augurs well for the future.

"Last year, KSU worked closely with my office and the Chaplaincy on 'Christmas Spirit on Campus' - an event which was successful and which will take place again this year.

"We have also worked very closely with KSU with regard to having multilingual signs all around campus for the benefit of students, especially Freshers. Future projects with KSU include the creation of a green area on campus and also holding talks regarding waste management on campus.

"Involving students in the day-to-day running of the University is on our list of priorities and KSU has been willing to get involved. Although we have our ups and downs, the enthusiasm shown by KSU members is promising."
