A display of works by acclaimed photographer John Swannell, at the National Portrait Gallery, will highlight 16 portraits which were recently acquired for the gallery’s collection . The portraits on display range from previously unseen photographs taken over the last year, to portraits taken at the start of these personalities’ career. The exhibition runs from April 22 till December 31 at the National Portrait Gallery, in London. Photos show (left) Prime Minister Tony Blair taken by Mr Swannell in 2009; and a previously unreleased portrait of singer Susan Boyle.
