I refer to the letter by Steven Livingston "Not meant to offend" (April 20). Is he aware that the people who perform such mindless atrocities, like the slaying of the swans, also belong to a small percentage of the Maltese population?
On the other hand, you do not find many, if any, Maltese people or indeed any other nationalities writing to the British papers condemning the people who participate in any cruel sports in the UK.
We both know it is wrong and condemn it without reservations. It would be interesting to know what these writers think they are going to achieve especially when our authorities have taken the appropriate action according to law.
I also agree entirely with the writer that two wrongs do not make a right, as we are also aware that people living in glasshouses should not throw stones.
