The Parliamentary Secretary responsible for the planning authority sees “absolutely nothing wrong” in appointing the Malta Pyrotechnics Association’s legal representative to chair a Mepa working group on fireworks factories.

Michael Farrugia described Labour MP Michael Falzon’s expertise as a “gold mine” and said he was sure the Labour MP would be “totally independent” and “not biased”.

See his comments above. The video was recorded as Dr Farrugia attended the completion of the re-excavation of a wartime shelter below the Auberge de Baviere in Valletta. The shelter, which was full of debris, had been closed for 50 years. It was dug as an extension to a well when war broke out. The shelter will be open for viewing in Notte Bianca.
