Parish priests are meeting for their annual gathering during which they will be reflecting on their relationship with the lay person.

The three-day live-in, which ends on Thursday and is being held at the Seminary in Tal-Virtú, is themed: We Were All Baptised In One Spirit - The Parish Priest And The Parishioner.

The discussions will include subjects such as what the priests think about the parishioner, the role of the lay person within the parish and the Maltese parishes in the next 20 years.

Archbishop Paul Cremona will today speak to the parish priests about his vision for the parishes of the future. This will be followed by discussions and workshops. The live-in ends tomorrow with the general meeting of the College of Parish Priests.
