The inquiry into the Paqpaqli incident has been concluded and was passed on to the Attorney General’s office last Monday, the AG's office confirmed.

The outcome of the inquiry, conducted by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera, is not yet known.

28 people were injured in the October Paqpaqli għall-Istrina event in October when a Porsche 918 driven by a British millionaire spun out of control and crashed into a crowd of spectators.

Some of the injured persons sustained grievous injuries and had to spend several weeks in hospital.

A week after the incident, the driver, Paul Bailey, who was also hosptalised, returned to the UK after the magistrate heard his evidence.

The event was being held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
