An article on Palazzo Falson by Penny Visman, a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers, was commended and placed runner-up at the BGTW Award for Best Overseas Project.

Ms Vismas visited the palace, in Mdina, during a tour organised by the Malta Tourism Authority in January. The conditions for entry were that the subject presented for the award had to be an overseas tourism project, which had opened in the last two years, was environmentally-friendly and of benefit to the local community.

Past winners include projects from Zambia, Kenya, Madagascar, India, the US , Australia, Canada, Egypt and Thailand, among others.
